Coconino High School History

Coconino High first opened the doors to education in September of 1967. Since that time the building was remodeled twice, once in 1977 and then again in 1989. In 1989 another major change occurred when ninth graders were added to make our school a 9-12 grade configuration.

A consistency of Coconino High School since 1967 has been the quality of education that our students receive year in and year out. We are fortunate to have the highest quality of educators, devoted and dedicated students and a curriculum that is challenging and diverse.

The new millennium brought with it new challenges, new opportunities and more state testing to our school. As in the past, our school community will work together to meet those challenges of the future and continue to provide opportunities for our students.

COCONINO SOUNDS
Alma Mater

All hail Coconino,
All hail to our school,
May your greatness never die.
The memory of the years we've spent with you
we hold so high.
As we sing Coconino High School,
cherished  Alma Mater dear,
How we will think of your glory,
lasting still throughout the years!
All hail, Coconino,
All hail to our school,
and forever may you stand.
Forever, all hail!
Forever, Coconino!
Fight Song

We're the Coconino Panthers,
We're the greatest in the land!
Our loyalty and honor go to you!
When we're really up and going
Panther spirit will be showing,
We'll be fighting for our colors
RED AND BLACK FIGHT BACK!!!
There's no other
team compared
to the way our people play!
Forever on our way to victory!
If we had to pick a winner,
here's exactly what we'd say:
Coconino you're OK!!!
