High School: Session I--June 16 th-July 3rd; Session II--July 7th–July 24th
Middle School: June 16th -July 24th
Days(Middle and High School): Monday–Thursday from 8:00 am-1:00 pm
Summer Middle School Classes
Students will be enrolled in ALL:
Upon completion students will receive a Pass or Fail.
High School Classes
Each class offered is worth 1/2 credit. Students must attend both sessions in order to receive 1 full credit.

Session I will be equivalent to the 1st Semester Session II will be equivalent to the 2nd Semester of the 2007-2008 school year
Summer School Information:
Who can attend summer school? In order to participate in the summer school program, students must be referred by their school counselor. Students will need to obtain their counselor's signature on the registration form, registration forms will not be accepted without a counselor's or an Administrator's signature.
About the Program:
Classes scheduled are selected from FUSD #1 current school programs. They follow the school district's curriculum requirements. The teachers who have been chosen to teach summer school have a solid background in the particular subjects they are teaching.
Attendance Policy:
Students are allowed 2 absences OR 4 tardies. If they miss more the student will be dropped from the program and the student will be ineligible for credit for the course or a refund of any fees.
THERE ARE NO EXCUSED ABSENCES for illness, vacations or other activities such as student conventions, workshops, tournaments, or camps. If such activities would delay a student's reporting for the first days of a session or cause a student's departure before its conclusion, he/she should not enroll in a session.
FINAL EXAMS WILL NOT BE ADMINISTERED EARLY!
Students' final grade for Session will not be known until completion of final exam.
Payment/Refunds:
Payment of $150 per course due at the time of registration (High School students attending both Session I and II, total due will be $300.00). Students will NOT be able to attend class until all fees are paid in full. Community Education accepts cash, check/money order, Visa, MasterCard or Discover. There will be a fee of $1.50 if paying with credit card. Please make checks payable to Community Education. If registering after the deadline dates, there will be a $25 late registration fee. Checks returned by the bank will be charged a $25 handling fee. Financial assistance may be available for student's who qualify.
Refunds: If Community Education is notified 10 days before the start of a session there will be a $50 charge per class. There will be NO REFUNDS if Community Education is notified less than 10 days before the start of a session. A Full refund will be made if Community Education cancels class. Please allow 4-6 weeks for refund.
Transportation:
A pass for a round trip bus ride each day is $30 per session (paid at registration). Bus passes must be shown to the driver each time the student boards. Misconduct on a bus will result in the loss of bus privileges with no refund. Bus route pick up/drop off will be sent out with registration confirmation.
Where to Register:
Registration Begins May 1st , 2008. Registration forms will be accepted at all 3 high schools with the Bookstore Manager until June 11th.
