Odyssey of the Mind Team
All three of DeMiguel's Odyssey of the Mind teams did very well at the state level competition in Tucson. Congratulations to teams "Road Rally", "DinoStories", and "The Wonderful Muses" as well as their coaches and their supportive families. Awesome job!
Our fifth grade team, "The Wonderful Muses", coached by Jennifer Riddle, won 1st place and will be going to Maryland at the end of May to compete at the World Level Competition. We will do some major fundraising very soon to help with costs. Please begin thinking about what you can do to help, such as asking your employer or other businesses for donations.
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Students use creativity and teamwork to solve problems ranging from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretations of literary classics. They compete on the local, state, and world levels. Thousands of teams from throughout the US and from about 25 other countries participate in the program.
