The Many Ways to Support Your School

Below you will find information regarding several of DeMiguel's year-round fundraising programs. It is so easy for you to help. None of these programs cost you more than what you already spend. Each provides wonderful benefits to our school. They're fantastic ways to help out, even when you do not have time to volunteer personally.

1. Great Lakes Scrip Gift Cards - Place your orders for these special gift cards on the announced dates every two weeks. You pay only face value for each card, and the school receives a commission from every purchase. See Great Lakes Scrip Center for more information.

2. Tax Credit Program - Donate to the Arizona-supported tax credit program. Every dollar, up to $250 (if donating as a couple) can be directly deducted from any tax you owe when filing taxes. Please watch for more information brought home with your child. See also: http://www.fusd1.org/tax_credit.htm

3. General Mills Points - This has been a tremendous, enduring program. Be sure to check all of your food items, including Big G cereals, Betty Crocker, Yoplait, Pillsbury, Green Giant, Progresso, Totino's, and more. We earn 10 cents from each label that can be put toward the programs or items DeMiguel really needs. Last year alone, we received nearly $1000 from General Mills. Let's keep this program going strong! Visit Boxtops for Education for more information.

4. Campbells Product Labels - Turn in these labels from eligible products such as: Campbells, Franco-American, Pepperidge Farm, Swanson's V8, Pace, and Prego. When we redeem these labels, we receive our choice of 500 items, including classroom supplies, art, music, PE, library and reference materials, and much more. The fat pencil emblem on the side will tell you whether to wave the label, the lid, or the UPC code. For more details, go to Labels for Education.

5. Use your eScrip store cards at Safeway, Macy's, Bashas', Fry's, and Albertson's. Your store cards earn the school percentage credits every time you shop. All eScrip cards, including debit cards, are ongoing, but you must re-register your grocery cards every year. It is free to sign up for any/all of these programs. There is more information on how to get signed up for Safeway, Fry's, and Albertson's in the packet sent home with your child. Bashas' information will be forthcoming.

6. Bring in your old cell phones, laser and ink jet cartridges. There is a drop-off bin in the library. Every time our bin is full, items are shipped free of charge to "The Funding Factory" which reimburses us for recycling. So don't toss those old phones and ink jet cartridges. It's CASH FOR TRASH. This program is good for our school AND the environment. See The Funding Factory for further information.

7. Eat at Coco's - Perhaps the most fun way with immediate satisfaction for you is to eat at our friendly, neighborhood Coco's Restaurant and Bakery. Each time you pay the cashier, simply request to have your copy of the receipt put into the box marked "DeMiguel." That is ALL you have to do. Coco's will send us occasional percentage checks based on the total of the receipts in our box.

8. Papa John's Pizza Nights - Keep a watchful eye out for our Pizza Nights. We expect to be having them once per month, with coupon flyers going out the day before.
