FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN

Our teachers plan a variety of orientation activities for kindergarten students and their parents.  You may be invited to come to kindergarten with them on the first day or even for a part of the first few days.  

Teachers will provide parents information on their specific orientation plans prior to the first day of school . . . so it's important that you pre-register your child for kindergarten!

This orientation will allow you to meet your child's new teacher, explore the kindergarten room, become informed about the kindergarten program, receive child care information, bus information and discuss appropriate walking or student drop-off procedures.

Children who will be riding the bus will need extra support the first day or two!  You may want to bring your child to school the first day, then have him or her ride the school bus home while you follow in your vehicle to make certain they get off at the correct bus stop and understand your safety rules for walking home from the stop.
