Structured English Immersion (SEI) – In this program, ELLs are instructed by an SEI endorsed or trained teacher. This instruction is designed to make grade-level academic content more accessible for English Language Learners while at the same time promoting their English language development.
GOAL: Proficiency in English

Mainstream Classrooms (M) – In this program, ELLs are instructed by an SEI endorsed or trained teacher. Instruction is geared to the students' academic and linguistic needs.
GOAL: Proficiency in English

Dual Language Programs (DL) – This program offers content-based ESL and native language instruction to a mixed class of native English speakers and native speakers of the other language.
GOAL: Proficiency in English and another language in all subjects

Navajo Immersion Program (NI) – This program provides ELL and non-ELL students with intensive content-based instruction in English and Navajo.
GOAL: Proficiency in English and Navajo

Documentation of Services for All Program Models

A Language Acquisition Plan (LAP) documents the instructional strategies and modifications that are being utilized to meet the needs of each English Language Learner. The LAP is completed by the student's teacher (grade K-6) or content area teachers (grade 7-12). ELL Specialists are available at each school to aid teachers in the development and implementation of LAPs.
