FHS counselors work with student in a academic advisement capacity, provide counseling in personal/social adjustment areas and consultation with parents. They are specially trained to work with many types of indivdual needs. Counselors may be a primary referral source to many community service organizations. FHS also has Native American counseling services to support the regular school counseling service for Native American students. They perform a valuable service due to their unique understanding of the culture, language, and background of the students and families with whom they work.
