and History
Last Updated: July 30, 2008
The
Knoles Library Media Center mission is to promote information literacy in our
school community and to create an atmosphere to support life-long
learning.
Knoles Library Media Center opened in 1987. The library media center has a three part location at Knoles. First and foremost, we have a state of the art library in the center of our school. We currently have about 21,000+ volumes available for checkout in our collection. We also have videos and CD-Roms for classroom use. Our monthly circulation averages about 5,500 items. There are 8 computer workstations available for searching our online card catalog (OPAC), researching on the Internet or taking an AR practice quiz.
Our main lab is equipped with 30 eMacs running OS X. Classes use this lab for Internet research as well as word processing, PowerPoint presentations, Garage Band music creation and using educational websites such as Starfall, etc..
