Miss Patty Kuchan:
Miss Kuchan is beginning her third year as the Library Media Specialist here at Knoles Elementary School. She is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education ('00) and a Masters degree in Educational Technology ('03). She has a Library/Educational Media endorsement from the Arizona Department of Education. She taught high school computers for one year at the Leupp BIA school in Leupp, AZ and was a substitute teacher for one year in Flagstaff Unified School District, spending seven months out of the year at Knoles. Her hobbies include using computer technology, reading, walking and outdoor photography. Her favorite place to visit is the Grandest Canyon of all!
Mrs. Adria Curtin:
Adria is the computer lab aide and helps out often in the Library Media Center (LMC). She maintains the eMac lab as well as teaches brush-up computer workshops to the faculty and staff. She also assists teachers when they bring their classes to the eMac lab. She is a valuable asset to the LMC here at Knoles.
Parent volunteers
Parent volunteers are always welcome in the Knoles Library Media Center. Their duties include shelving and cleaning books, helping students find materials and checking books out to students and faculty. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Miss Kuchan at 527-0257.
Student Council Library Aide Program
We currently have 5th & 6th grade students participating in our Student Council Library Aide Program. Each student is assigned a 30 minute time period on a weekly basis. Their responsibilities include shelving books, checking in books and straightening the books on the shelves.
