A+ School

MEMS is an "A+ school." In 1997, and again in 2002, MEMS staff prepared the "A+ School Recognition Program" application which described all aspects of the school.

Included in the application were academic assessments, school philosophy and goals, qualities of school leadership, strengths of the staff, innovative programs, student activities and involvement in activities and aspects of service learning.

The application was submitted, and a three-member evaluation team visited the school to validate the application. Following the evaluations, MEMS, along with only two other secondary schools in the state, was named an "A+" school.

These awards brought a great deal of community recognition and pride to our school. It is a challenge to continue to be an outstanding school and our students and staff remain up to that challenge, as MEMS is a GREAT PLACE TO LEARN!
