| 2005 | According to the Arizona Department of Education, MEMS is honored with Flagstaff's highest M.A.P. scores!! M.A.P. stands for Measure of Academic Progress, and measures how much growth students make academically from one year to the next. MEMS 7th and 8th grader scores were higher than any other school in Flagstaff, public or charter!! |
| 2004 | MEMS is designated an "Arizona Excelling School" and Arizona state superintendent of schools Tom Horn personally came to MEMS to honor us in a Special Assembly. |
| 2002 | MEMS identified by the Arizona Education Foundation, Bank One, and the Arizona Department of Education as an "A+ school." We were one of only three schools in Arizona to receive such an honor. |
| 1999 | In May, the Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce identified Mount Elden as "1999 School of the Year." |
