Impact of Grant Project

Click on the map below to see the schools and districts served by the Northern Arizona Technology Integration Coaching Consortium. Each marker on the linked map provides further details about the level of impact our two-year project has had.

Flagstaff
Technology peer coaching has provided the Flagstaff School District with an opportunity to help teachers develop technology skills effectively and rapidly. Because the 30 coaches each work with one or two collaborating teachers, over 70 district teachers have been afforded the opportunity to work on developing their technology skills within two years of the grant project. Much-needed on-the-job professional development has become an ongoing part of the school day for tech coaches and their collaborating teachers.

Grand Canyon
For Grand Canyon the purchase of technology equipment through the grant project has supplemented what hardware was already in place throughout the district. These purchases, along with the technology peer coaching support, have allowed educators within the district to integrate technology into their curriculum in new ways.

Shonto
Shonto Preparatory Technology High School has utilized this grant to help teachers develop skills to effectively make use of technology hardware that they already had in place in their classrooms. By training teachers to serve as technology peer coaches, more educators at the school are being coached in effective and meaningful uses of the technology hardware that they have available for use with students.

STAR
Because of the intimate size of STAR School, this grant has allowed the school to develop a school-wide community of learners all focused on technology integration within two years. With few classes and teachers on staff, nearly every teacher has had the opportunity to either be a technology peer coach or a collaborating teacher supported by the grant project.

Tuba City
The greatest impact of the project for Tuba City has been on the use and integration of technology hardware that was already in place throughout the school district. Prior to having trained technology coaches in Tuba City, technology equipment was not always being used in the most effective manner. Technology peer coaches have been able to work one-on-one with their collaborating teachers to coach them on the use and integration of the technology equipment on a regular basis.

Winslow
This grant has been invaluable in the promotion of technology use and integration for Winslow students. The acquisition of hardware from the grant has prompted district and school level administrators to include technology in their budgets, providing items such as projectors and document cameras in a majority of classrooms throughout the district. A district technology team has been established by first-year tech coaches to guide the future of technology integration in Winslow. First-year coaches are working with second-year coaches to provide professional development and support for technology integration throughout the district.
