Plant Growth and Development
Children are fascinated by growth, especially seed germination. Take advantage of this innate interest and lead your students in an exploration of a plant's life cycle, using the hands-on activities in this kit. Students work with Wisconsin Fast Plants, which go from seed to seed in about 40 days, to investiage plant structure, chart plant growth, examine the bee/flower relationship, and record seed yield. By the end of the unit, students have a complete picture of germination, growth and development, pollination, and seed production.
