4. D Students should wait in an orderly manner and line up when they see the bus coming. Students may be civilly or criminally responsible for property damage at a bus stop. 5. D Students should board the bus, go directly to their assigned seat and sit down (passengers may request a change in their assigned seat). 6. D Passengers must stay in their seats (driver may allow passengers to change seats when not in motion - always ask permission). 7. S All passengers shall sit with their backs against the seat backs, their legs facing the front and all parts of their bodies clear of the aisles. 8. 12. D If driver allows eating and drinking, passengers should use plastic containers and must clean up after themselves (Reminder - NO Glass). 13. D Passengers should use classroom voices (driver determines if passenger is too loud). 14. D If passengers choose to wear headphones, the volume must be low enough to hear the driver's directions. 15. D Passengers should not open windows without driver's permission. 16. S Passenger shall not place any part of their body out of a school bus window or door except when exiting. 17. D Passengers should keep hands, backpacks, books and other objects to themselves and inside the bus:
18. D Students must follow all other rules contained in District Discipline policies.
Depending upon the severity of the offense the normal disciplinary sequence will be: 1. First offense - driver discusses infraction with student and student may be assigned to "Angel Seat" (right front seat) for a specified period of time. 2. Second offense/First Report - driver discusses infraction with student, completes "Bus Conduct Report" which student signs and driver hand delivers report to discipline coordinator ,who imposes discipline if needed and notifies parent. Report is mailed home. 3. Third offense/Second Report - Bus Conduct Report is completed. Conference may be held among driver, student, discipline coordinator, parent and transportation director is held.Student may or may not be allowed to ride the bus prior to conference, depending on nature of infraction. A period of time off bus will be imposed. Every effort will be made to hold conference within a reasonable period. 4. Fourth offense/Third Report - Bus Conduct Report is completed. Student is suspended from bus for minimum of three school days, Parent must provide transportation for the period of bus suspension (if imposed). 5. All subsequent offense's- will mean time off the bus. 6. Severe infractions - may jump immediately to the level of third or fourth offense. These may include, but are not limited to:
