A little bit about me.
I have over 15 years of experience working with elementary students in a variety of different roles. I spent one year as an AmeriCorps Reading Volunteer in Ridgecrest, CA and two years as a State Work Study Tutor in Arcata, CA. I spent 5 months student teaching Kindergarten in Eureka, CA and five Months student teaching Fourth grade in Blue Lake, CA . I taught third grade for two years in Glendale, CA. I then got the opportunity to be an Intervention Consultant for 3 years at my daughter's school in La Crescenta, CA. I have spent countless hours volunteering at elementary schools doing various tasks such as chairing school wide events, working with small groups, and giving one on one tutoring. In June of 2014, my family moved to Flagstaff, AZ and my daughter was a fourth grader at Knoles Elementary. I became an FUSD Substitute and spent most of my work days at Knoles Elementary. I was then hired to teach first grade for the the 2015 2016 school year. I am now looking forward to teaching my seventh year of first grade for the 2021 - 2022 school year at Knoles Elementary.
I am looking forward to the up coming school year.
