Intro to Culinary Arts

Welcome to CHS and The Kitchen.
In the Intro to Culinary Arts class students have the opportunity to learn basic food preparation skills and food industry knowledge that not only provides them with useful skills they can use at home but also lays the foundation for post-secondary education and entry level food service occupations.
The course includes instruction in:
- Planning, selecting, storing, purchasing, preparing , and serving food and food products
- Basic nutrition, food safety and sanitation
- The use and care of commercial equipment, organization and operation
