• meet Mrs. Caarruthers
Hi, my name is Kelly Carruthers and I have been teaching in Northern Arizona for 25 years. This will begin my 14th year of teaching at Knoles Elementary School. I love teaching at Knoles Elementary! I wake up each day excited to come to work with the best faculty, students, and parents. The Knoles community is involved in the education and well-being of all children! I feel honored to be on the Knoles team!

I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1993. I received a Master's degree in Bilingual Multicultural Education in 1999 from Northern Arizona University. I have an adult education certification, English as a Second Language certification, and an Early Childhood endorsement. I have a special reading qualification in Collaborative Literacy Intervention Project (CLIP).

I am married with two boys: Connor age 19, and Parker age 15. I enjoy traveling, hiking, reading, and spending quality time outdoors with my family! I love dogs also!

I am looking forward to working with you and your child this school year. My vision is to help your child be successful with the first grade standards and to have fun learning!  My goal is to foster the social, emotional, and academic growth of each child!

I know it will be a great 2019-2020 school year!!!
