• I hope everyone is getting along and doing well, mentally, physically, and especially emotionally.  At this time, we are not doing any new information.  Any student is permitted to complete any past missing assignments to keep up their skills and practice.  If an assignment is completed, you may send it to me via e-mail.  These assignments will be accepted for credit.  If you happen to be missing a test, we haven't figured out an appropriate method to get this done, but will be available when we return to school.  I will be working on best practices to help students with grade improvements.  You may contact me through the school e-mail   jkoch@fusd1.org

FHS prides itself on great teacher relationships with our students and families and a willingness and ability to deliver quality instruction no matter what the situation. We believe that learning is not confined only to the classroom.  It is our belief that critical thinking, individual experiences, and personal growth are essential elements of any educational process.  Although the school closures due to COVID-19 impact our ability to reach all of our students in a traditional sense, it is our sincerest hope that we can take this unique opportunity to provide students with continued learning opportunities during this challenging time.  These learning opportunities are intended to provide students with opportunities to practice key skills and concepts and to apply knowledge in the most real world setting of all.  The next couple of weeks are an opportunity for students to discover more about their own motivations and reflect on how their experiences in school relate to their own lives.  Resources provided by teachers are not for grading.  Additionally, shared resources will not be covering new content.  It is our hope that students do their best to participate in the activities shared by teachers at their own pace and in a way that works for each individual family’s current circumstances at home.
