Canvas Parent Guide
Download the Canvas Parent App from with the Google Play store or Apple store onto a phone or tablet
Open the app. Search for fusd1 (press “enter” or “go” to search)
Click on Parent Website Login to Canvas
Create an Account
Parents & Guardian:
Enter your first & last name and the email address that is current in Synergy
Create a password for your new Canvas account.
Work with your student to get the Pairing code from their account.
Find the “observer code” from the student’s Canvas account.
On the right-hand side of the student account settings, click “Pair with Observer”
Paste this one time code in the Canvas Parent app.
*Note: You must generate a new code for each observer that joins a student account
After you have filled out all of the information, click Start Participating
You can now navigate to:
help & settings
view activity in the calendar
view & add students
course assignments & details
Set up custom notifications for each student’s classwork.
Click the Menu then, “Manage Students
You can set up alerts when your student has an activity in these categories.
In each course, you can see graded assignments and activities** and the activity on the “Front Page”.
The front page will show you the course for the week or units in the class.
In Grades, click on one of the assignments to view the details.
**Please note, final student grades of record are entered in the Synergy grade book, viewable through PatrentVUE/StudentVUE
