    ABOUT MS. HEMMINGER

Chandra Hemminger has has just begun her art teaching career at Sinagua this year (2021).  Formerly, she started the art program at Summit High School in 2010.  Prior to teaching full time for FUSD, she owned and operated Earth-n-Ware Ceramics in Flagstaff; a community ceramics studio and gallery.  At Earth-n-Ware, Chandra shared her love and knowledge of the ceramic arts while teaching classes to the youth and adults in our community.

Chandra graduated Cum Laude from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis on education, ceramics and painting.  Her passion lies in the ceramic arts and her work can be seen throughout town in galleries and exhibitions.

Chandra is also passionate about mountain biking, gardening and river running.  In her "free time", you may see her zipping past you on a beautiful day!
