                 Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s) & Students,

I believe that it is important for parents, students, and teachers to work together to ensure the best education possible for each student.  I encourage you to visit our classroom and contact me whenever you have a comment, question, or concern.                             - Sara R. Stahl

                1) Everyday, students fill out their agenda with a description of the day's instruction and assignment.                                               Any work not completed in class, needs to be completed at home by the due date.                                                                     Please look at your student's agenda to know what your student did today in English.
-> On occasion, plans do change if more time is needed to master a skill or content.
                2) Check ParentVue for the latest assignments, assignment descriptions, and due dates.  If there is a zero                                       for an assignment, the work was not submitted or has yet to be graded if turned in late by the student.                                       -> If the assignment grade is blank, the assignment has yet to be graded and entered by the teacher.
                3) Vocabulary is a large part of this course.  Students need to create vocab cards according to the format                                         shown in class and keep the cards throughout the course of the year.  The format for both vocabulary cards                                 (and the test that assesses vocabulary acquisition), will remain the same the entire school year.                                                   **The first vocabulary list will be given on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
                4) Incomplete and Missing assignments need to be turned in on the last day of a unit to be accepted for                                           credit.   Once a unit is over, past assignments will no longer be accepted for grading.

Donations for the Classroom   For families who wish to donate materials for classroom use, I am always in need of: glue sticks, glue sticks, and more glue sticks, rulers, scissors, colored pencils, markers, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, and Clorox wipes!  Thank you ahead of time for your kindness.
