Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!!  My name is Tisha Cake and I will be teaching sixth grade math for House 2.  I have lived in Flagstaff since 2006 and I am entering my 23rd year of teaching.  My husband works for BNSF and we have two wonderful daughters, one of whom will also be in sixth grade this year!!  We enjoy hunting, camping, and anything that involves the great outdoors and we are also big football fans!!

 

The sixth grade math curriculum will be Open Up Resources.  This is our first year for this so we will all have a lot to learn!  You will find the link on the left hand side.

 

We will be utilizing standards based grading this year.  Standards will be assessed using a 4 point rubric.  If your child attended an FUSD elementary school you should be familiar with this.

 

Please make sure you read and sign your child's agenda each week.  This is a great communication tool between home and school. 

 

There are some quick links on the right hand side.  These can be used to help your child with some basic skills and review.
