I have had the pleasure of living and teaching in northern Arizona since 1998, and in Flagstaff since 2004. I am Arizona Highly Qualified in the areas of Special Education (K - 12 Cross Categorical), English, and Biology. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas; following three years living in north Africa, working as a volunteer with the US Peace Corps as a teacher of the visually impaired, I moved to Flagstaff to earn my Master's degree in Special Education from Northern Arizona University.
When I am not teaching, I spend my time quite joyously with my wife and two children, sharing with them my love for the beauty that is so abundant in the Flagstaff area. When we are snowed in, I enjoy watching science fiction films and pointing out scientific inaccuracies.
