Mrs. Reynolds

My family moved to Flagstaff from Ohio, over 20 years ago.  I have been married for over 35 years and have two adult children who are both married. I am the proud grandmother of a 7 year old  granddaughter, a 5 year old grandson, a 4 year old grandson, 3 year old granddaughter and a 2 year old grandson!  I am pleased to share that both my daughter and son graduated from Coconino High School and from the University of Arizona.
In my spare time, I like to bake (& of course, eat), read and hike.  My husband and I also like to travel especially to places near the ocean.
I have taught in Ohio, Texas and Arizona.  During my teaching career I have worked with Kindergarten through sixth grade, but I especially enjoy working with fifth graders.  In recent summers I have taken a graduate course, "Science and Literacy Integration" and I got to learn a bunch about soil, bugs and plants.  I have been using some of this knowledge in my classroom these past few years.  In June, 2017, I took a weeklong workshop that involved traveling around the state of Arizona and learning about agriculture across the state.  I hope to continue integrating some of the things I have learned into our science curriculum this year. I have also been doing some professional reading on my own and I am hoping to incorporate some of these new ideas into my classroom this fall.   I am always trying to learn new things and I hope my students will be inspired to become life-long learners!
