    Dear Families,

These are supplemental resources to support you and your child at home. None of these are required, but can help your child maintain and build skills during the school closure. These resources can be used at your own pace. Oftentimes a regular routine helps children adapt and adjust to change. That being said, implementing a schedule that works best for your family is important to keep in mind. Here is a suggested way to structure your day.

In the morning, our third grade classes typically attend to reading and writing work. The children have a midmorning snack and break for a special area class such as Art, PE, Music, Library, and Science. See special areas teachers’ web pages for suggestions. Once a week we include time for technology lessons and applications. In the afternoon, we usually start with math. Then we take another break for recess before we spend time learning about Arizona, which is our social studies focus this year.

The third grade classes are asking for parent input on technology access and family needs during the closure. Please complete the following survey at your earliest convenience:

I will be available to assist and answer questions via email at dimmethun@fusd1.org or you can leave a message on my voicemail at (928)773-4150 ext.2157 and I will return your call.

Wishing you all the best during this school closure.

    Take care,

    Ms. Immethun
