Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Danny Murray
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! We are back to in-person learning where masks are optioonal.
I am very excited to start another school year. This will be my 37th year teaching! I have enjoyed every year of making a difference in the lives of the students I work with. My philosophy in the classroom is to provide a safe and exciting place that is highly motivational for the students. I seek to help students discover their potentials and help them on the path to reaching them. Respect and responsibility are core components of our classroom. I bring my personal interests into the classroom frequently using rocks and minerals, fossils, shells and ocean life, science, computer coding, robot programming, and engineering activities to help bring to life a very exciting and memorable school year.
Here's a little information about me. I attended the Flagstaff Unified Schools and graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1977. I then attended Northern Arizona University and competed in cross-country and track for the Jacks as an undergrad. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Reading from N.A.U.
I have been married for 31 years. My wife Fe', works at Northern Arizona University as an Assistant Clinical Professor. My son Nathaniel has a Master's degree from Washington State in Chemistry. My daughter Sarah is a second grade teacher at Adam's Elementary School in Mesa, Arizona.
My wife and I enjoy viewing wildlife around Northern Arizona, camping, hiking, rock-hounding, exploring, and fishing.
I look forward to working with you to provide the best school year for your child. We are in for a great year!
