     A typical day in Mrs. Wallace's room, with some alterations for remote learning :) 

    (ask your kiddos if you don't know what some of this means, they do! And remember, this is optional while at home!)


    • 8:35-9:00-- Organize work area, morning work, DLR (daiy language review), community talk time, white board message 
    • 9:00-9:15-- Morning Exercise (get those bodies movin'. with a fun game or GoNoodle!)
    • 9:20-10:20-- Math (this can include the lesson from the district Google Doc, the independent work time, and a math app)
    • 10:20-10:35-- Recess (get outside for some fresh air!) 
    • 10:35-11:00-- ELA, read along, and snack (at this time we go through the calendar, talk about the weather, and read through our Nat. Geo. book together with discussion, you access this if you would like, on the Nat. Geo. Website posted below! You can use the lessons posted on the FUSD Google Doc during this time.) 
    • 11:00-11:55-- ELA Center rotations (read decodable books from Nat. Geo., practice sight words and sounds of the week-- I will send the words on Class Tag, do an ipad application, practice sentence writing or spelling. You can use the lessons posted on the FUSD Google Doc during this time.)
    • 11:55-12:35-- Lunch and recess time 
    • 12:40-1:00-- Chapter book read-aloud (or independent, we left off about to start James and the Giant Peach) 
    • 1:00-1:30-- Writing (work of writing concepts such as conventions, paragraph building, speling, and write on a prompt using our writing process, pre-write, rough draft, edit, final draft. You can use the lessons posted on the FUSD Google Doc during this time.)
    • 1:30-2:00-- Science or Social Studies (the last unit we left off on was animal habitats and interdependence, our last social studies unit is around the world, studying anout differnt cultures, traditions, and religions from around the world. You can use the lessons posted on the FUSD Google Doc during this time.)
    • 2:00-2:30-- FLEX (extra reading practice, this is a great time for independent reading, AR, or the Lexia app)
    • 2:35-3:10-- Specials (Art, P.E., Music, Library, Computer Lab-- Easy Tech app listed below) 
    • 3:10-3:20-- What did we learn today? Discuss white board message. 
    • 3:20-3:25-- Pack up, give hugs/high fives, go home
