Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to 4th grade!
I am Ms. Likovich. I am a fourth grade teacher at Knoles Elementary. This will be my 9th year teaching and my 4th year teaching at Knoles. Previously, I taught in Williams, AZ. I have absolutely loved being a Knoles Knight. I love the enthusiasm and passion for learning at our school, and I especially love the students.
I grew up in Gilbert, always dreaming of getting out of the heat, and up to Flagstaff. I graduated from NAU with a Bachelors in Elementary Education, a minor in Psychology, and a math endorsement. Last year, I married the love of my life, Matt, who is a Wildland Firefighter for the Forest Service. We have a rescue dog named Frankie, who has severe serparation anxiety but is full of love.
It is my mission to instill a love of learning in all of my students. I have been a Whole Brain Teacher for 6 years. I am always adapting, learning, and changing my teaching style to best fit my students. I attempt to do this by creating passionate, creative, and engaging lessons that involves the students' whole brain. We will be using motions, gestures, and repetition to engage the entire brain while learning key concepts.
This year, I will be teaching Math and Science to your child and my partner, Mrs. Malkhassian will be teach ELA and Social Studies. I have a passion for giving students new strategies to use in math and problem solving skills that will help them in the future. I am looking forward to a year of hard work, fun, and adventures with my Fourthies!
