Welcome Biology Students

This is my seventh year teaching at Flag High. I have taught many science classes, and Biology is my favorite.  All of my courses are also Alpine Institute courses, which means they emphasize inquiry, critical thinking, community, stewardship, and reflection.  Thank you for joining me this year and I look forward to working with you.

I will be holding office hours online every day from 2:30-3:00pm (additional times can be arranged by request).  A link to my office hours is available for all students in google classroom.  Parents, you are welcome to meet with me through this format; please email me and I will send you the link.

As we begin online, I'll make every effort to keep the supplies you'll need for our class to a minimum.  Here are items I would recommend if you can obtain them safely: pencils & pens, notebook or composition book, scientific calculator, color pencils or highlighters, headphones, stylus for your ipad.

Please know that links and codes for both our zoom classroom and google classroom will be sent to you through StudentVUE.  Please contact me if you have any questions.  I will be teaching from home several days a week, so be aware that I cannot answer the phone number on the left unless I am in my classroom.  The best way to reach me is by email at emusta@fusd1.org and I will get back to you rapidly.

Thank you!

Here is a paper on aridisols that I was fortunate to collaborate on through a teacher-research program at NAU.
