Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Chris Rennaker
Originally from the farmlands of north central Indiana. I developed a love for science early in life. I spent almost all of my time outside either detasseling corn, playing basketball and soccer, water-skiing and exploring the forests and riparian areas of the rural areas of my hometown.
During college I worked with the CDC and BSU to study the distribution and spread of the Black-Legged Tick and the bacteria Borrelia burgdorferii (Lyme Disease). It was during this project that I developed a love of collecting data (and specimens) in the field and then processing the data and specimens in the lab.
After college I took a job as a biologist in Montana. I worked with the Northern Divide Ecosystem Grizzly Bear Project, (https://archive.usgs.gov/archive/sites/www.nrmsc.usgs.gov/research/NCDEbeardna_detail.htm)
I received my B.S. from Ball State Univeristy (2003) and my M.S. from Southern Oregon University (2011).
