Mrs. Naylor

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Naylor

My name is Kelsi Naylor and I am so excited to have you (or your child) in my class! This is my 5th year teaching and my 3rd year at Sinagua. I have experience teaching 7th grade Social Studies, 7th grade math, and 8th grade math. For classroom resources, lesson plans, homework, and missing work please visit the Canvas page. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have and I look forward to hearing from you. The best form of communication is email and we can schedule phone or in-person conferences from there.

School from home directions

All lessons and assignments during this time will be posted on Canvas under weekly modules. I will be assigning task or project based work to help provide meaningful review for students to best prepare them for math next year. To help students review the material from each unit, I have also provided students with PDF's of each lesson summary from the school year. Please review these before beginning each week's lessons. If you do not have internet at home, please go to a hot-spot or location with wifi to download your assignments weekly. All work is uploaded to Canvas as a PDF that can either be saved to the files on your iPad or screenshotted so you can work on it at home without internet. I will regularly check Canvas messages and emails Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, so please reach out if you have any questions.

Week 1: 3/23-3/26

Week 2: 3/30-4/3

Week 3: 4/6-4/10

Additional Practice: Khan Academy

I have assigned work on Khan Academy for all students to work through as additional practice. If we were at school right now, we would be working on Unit 8 so I recommend all students (if they are able) to spend about 20 minutes per day watching the videos and completing the practice/quizzes in Khan Academy. If students finish working through unit 8, please have them work through all of the Math 7 practice to achieve their goal of a 90% in the Khan Academy course. This practice will be available through the summer and is an excellent way to stay sharp on math skills so students go into 8th grade feeling strong! Please note that this additional practice on Khan Academy does require a constant internet connection.

Thank you!
