I grew up in Morenci, Arizona, which has the third largest copper mine in the world.  My high school chemistry and physics teacher, Mr. Galusky, was an amazing man.  I try to model my teaching after Mr Galusky's example.  I attended Grand Canyon University where I earned a BS in Chemistry and married my college sweetheart, Susan.  We moved to Los Angeles, and I began teaching high school.  During this time my passion for teaching began to really take hold.  After four years in LA, we moved back to Flagstaff where I earned an MA in Teaching Physical Sciences from NAU.  Our two oldest children were born in Flagstaff.  I taught at Camp Verde HS and Mingus HS, and then we moved to California a second time.  While there I taught at Yosemite High School for 21 years before returning to Flagstaff in 2018.  Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Physics and AP Physics have been the focus of my teaching career.  We now have five amazing kids. I am very proud of my kids, and I love spending time with them and enjoy fishing in my spare time.  I am very excited about this new adventure at Flagstaff High School.
