Hello everyone! I'm Mrs. Barnard (Busk) and I teach 6th Grade Science at SMS!

My name is Mrs. Barnard and this is my 3rd year at Sinagua (and in Flagstaff) and my 10th year teaching! I've always had a passion for science and I graduated from NAU with a degree in Elementary Education that included an emphasis in Geology. I also received my Masters in Elementary Education with a K-8 Reading Endorsement.  I'm a Level 2 Google Certified Educator and have been extensively trained in using gifted strategies. Some of my hobbies include collecting fossils, hiking, exploring, writing stories, landscape photography, and reading. I also love animals and watching college sports. My husband and I were married here in the forest around Flagstaff and we adopted a cute little puppy named Tank! So if you see or hear the last name Busk, that was my last name before I was married.
