Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Jeremy Schroeder
I am thrilled to be entering my 12th year of teaching music at Puente de Hozho in the 2020-21 school year!
Music is a big part of my life as educator as well as in my personal life. I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music, especially music that may be considered unusual or quirky to some people. My first instrument was the piano, and since 5th grade I've played the trumpet. I continued playing trumpet through high school and college, and eventually performed music in the Phoenix area and on cruise ships for several years before becoming a music teacher. I also play ukulele, guitar, recorder, shruti box, and a variety of percussion and wind instruments. I am excited to share music experiences with students, and find ways through music to connect to a variety of cultures and the world around us. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and our two children on hikes, camping, in our garden, and of course playing music together!
