CocoNuts compete in FIRST NAZ
The Coconino High School Coconuts robotics team had a busy weekend at the Arizona North Regional Competition at Northern Arizona University where the team had an 8-1-1 record in the robot game qualifying matches; ranking the team 9 out of 53 teams. Not the only competition, Logan Miller was named as a FIRST Dean’s List Finalist after an intense interview process that has the potential for Miller to earn a scholarship at an upcoming competition. The Coconuts also earned the Safety Award runner up and the Gracious Professionalism Award.
The Coconuts still have an opportunity to qualify for the World Championship in Houston when the team competes in Ventura, California in two weeks. Additionally, the Coconuts will host an FTC Tournament at NAU this Friday and Saturday that had to be previously rescheduled due to snow.
