The FUSD Governing Board plans to approve the FUSD calendar for the 2020-2021 school year at its December meeting.  Feedback regarding the calendar is appreciated.  Please review the Calendar Drafts (A, B) and the calendar descriptions for the 2020-2021 school year before completing the survey.  The feedback provided will be used to prepare the calendar recommendation while still meeting state requirements for instructional days and hours.

Calendar A:

This calendar is similar to the current 2019-2020 calendar.  It is based on previous calendar committee recommendations (end the school year around Memorial Day, end semester before winter break, include Fall/Winter/Spring Breaks, no school on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Break).  The school year begins on August 6, 2020 and ends on May 27, 2021.  The calendar includes six (6) make-up days for weather or other school cancellations.  The district-wide professional learning day has been moved from its current place in November to August prior to the first day with students which added a third day to Fall Break.
