BOC Tours Mount Elden Construction Project
On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, the Flagstaff Unified School District (FUSD) Bond Oversight Committee and members of the FUSD Governing Board received a construction briefing and tour of the Mount Elden Middle School renovation project. The voter-approved bond project includes construction of a new two-story wing that will include the multimedia center and science education spaces in addition to updates throughout the facility that support increased accessibility, collaborative learning spaces, increased natural lighting and access to outdoor learning, flexible learning spaces supporting STEM education, and a new parking level entry way. The project is projected to be completed before the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year.
The FUSD Bond Oversight Committee is made up of local Flagstaff-area residents, members of the FUSD Governing Board, and staff. Each member lends their expertise to the decision-making process as the committee meets to recommend bond funding of various projects and consider additional District needs.
Bond Oversight Committee agendas and minutes for their regularly monthly meetings are available here.
