Testing Schedule Update
Beginning April 5, 2021, all FUSD schools will enter the state testing window for state-mandated assessments in the areas of Writing, English Language Arts (ELA), Math, and Science that are given in grades 3 through 11.
Each school will be creating specific testing dates that fall within these windows based on the dates that work best for their students. Schools do not need to test the same grade levels or test subjects on the same day so some variation in testing dates between schools is expected. All students will be completing these tests using a district-issued iPad.
A summary table of the assessments each grade level will take is provided below.
Students attending in-person learning will automatically be scheduled to take the state assessments and will be placed in a safe arrangement with other students taking the assessments. All mitigation strategies will be utilized to the fullest extent possible.
Students who have chosen to remain in remote learning still have the opportunity to take the state assessments, however, students in remote settings must make arrangements with school testing coordinators prior to the in-person testing dates to come onto campus to complete the assessments. Arizona assessments are not currently allowed to be administered in a remote learning setting.
Additional information specific to your student’s school site will be communicated to you by the school in the coming days. If you have questions about specific mitigation strategies being used at the school site, please contact the school directly.
