FORE! 9-Hole Playable Miniature Golf Art Exhibition and Fundraiser
FORE! is a 9-hole playable miniature golf art exhibition and fundraiser located at the Coconino Center for the Arts. The miniature golf holes were created by many local artists including our very own Sinagua Middle School Woods and Mixed Media students and their teacher, Amy Dries.
Dries and her students created hole #9 which commences with a drive from Horseshoe Bend, spanning across the curving Colorado River and linking up with a Native American Market nestled in the shadows of the Vermillion Cliffs with endangered California Condors soaring above. Subsequently, the ball traverses one of the two Navajo bridges situated above Lee's Ferry. It then meanders through a Cliff Dwellers house, glides past balancing rocks, and ultimately finds its destination in a hole surrounded by the renowned cookies and a milkshake from Jacob Lake at the turn off to the Grand Canyon. The inspiration behind this concept stemmed from Amy Dries' profound affection for the North Rim and the scenic road leading to it.
The exhibition is open through February 10, 2024. Learn more and purchase tickets to the exhibit at https://coconinoarts.org/exhibitions/fore/.
