    Hi, my name is Clare Jakob! I am Puente de Hózhó's school nurse and I am so excited to be here! This is my third year as a school nurse. A little about my background. I have 24 years experience as an Emergency Medical Technician with a volunteer ambulance corps in Pennsylvania. I worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a Senior Living community, also in Pennsylvania. While working full time and raising 2 teenage children on my own, I went back to school to become a Registered Nurse. At that time, I went to work for Lehigh Valley Hospital on a busy Oncology Medical Surgical Unit as a RN. A few years later, I moved to Flagstaff to be closer to my son and his family. I worked at a few facilities in Flagstaff as a RN while returning to school and graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. I found my niche as a school nurse when I came to Puente de Hózhó. I have 3 grown children and 4 grandsons. My 3 cats are great company and amuse me constantly! I found that I enjoy working with children, as I once wanted to be an elementary school teacher...and here I am in an elementary school!
