Average Teacher Salaries

  • With the Governing Board adoption of the school year budget, the Flagstaff Unified School District has an average salary of all teachers employed in FY 2019 of $48,639. As a comparison, the average salary of all teachers employed in FY 2018 was $43,638, an increase in average teacher salaries from the previous year of $5,001 or a percentage increase of 11%.

    Thomas art teacher, Ms. Kathy Marron, was recognized for Excellence in Art Education by the Arizona State Board of Education at the April 29 Board Meeting. Superintendent Kathy Hoffman spoke to the importance of art education as part of a well rounded and highly engaging educational experience.

    The Coconino High School “CocoNuts” FIRST Robotics Team competed April 17-20, 2019 at their 12th consecutive FIRST Robotics World Championship in Houston, TX. The Engineering Inspiration Award celebrates outstanding success for advancing respect for engineering within a team’s community. Inspiring others to respect science and engineering requires passion, knowledge and commitment.
