  • FUSD Honors Hispanic Heritage Month

    The Flagstaff Unified School District is honored to join citizens throughout the country in recognizing September 15 - October 15, 2022 as National Hispanic Heritage Month to highlight the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success. This month is observed to celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of those whose ancestors come from Mexico, the Caribbean, Spain, Central America, and South America. This year's theme is Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation. Please enjoy this performance from Ballet Folklórico de Colores of Flagstaff.

  • Crisis Reality Training for Parents and Guardians

    All FUSD parents and guardians are invited to attend a Crisis Reality Training from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, at Coconino High School. This training is for adults only and no children will be allowed to attend. Learn more about the training by clicking the link above.

  • Moon Tree Dedication Ceremony at Killip

    On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, Rosemary Roosa visited Killip Elementary School for a Moon Tree Dedication Ceremony. Rosemary is the daughter of Astronaut Stuart Roosa who helped start the Moon Tree project by bringing 500 species of seeds with him to space aboard Apollo 14 in 1971.

  • Killip Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

    We are so excited for the grand opening of the new Killip Elementary School! Please join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9th, at Killip Elementary School located at 2300 N 6th Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Any staff, students, families, or members of the community are welcome.

  • Astronomy Textbook Adoption Notice

    Flagstaff Unified School District is in the process of adopting new textbook for Astronomy.  Textbook is titled “Astro 3: Indroductory Astronomy” by Seeds and Backman, 2020.  Textbook is both in print and online.

Average Teacher Salaries

  • With the Governing Board adoption of the school year budget, the Flagstaff Unified School District has an average salary of all teachers employed in FY 2023 of $59,660. As a comparison, the average salary of all teachers employed in FY 2022 was $55,498, an increase in average teacher salaries from the previous year of $4,162 or a percentage increase of 7.00%.
