    Q:  How do I turn on the iPad?

    A:  Press down on the sleep/wake button (power button). iPads have two physical buttons: the sleep/wake button on the top and the home button on the tablet's face. The sleep/wake button is the one on the top of your iPad, up and to the right of the camera lens.

     

    Q: Where can I find help with Canvas, Google Classroom, and Zoom

    Q: How do I access my Canvas Student Account?

    A: Please visit our district website at: https://www.fusd1.org/Page/17623

     

    Q: How do I open Canvas?

    A: Click on the white and red Canvas app; it is labeled Student.

    The username is the student’s ID# (lunch number)@fusd1.org

    The password is whatever your student has reset it to be

     

    Q: My work keeps getting deleted in Canvas when I am working on a PDF for my class!! 

    A: Make sure that you are saving your work.  The teacher may also need to change the document type selected in their Canvas account.  Contact the teacher.

     

    Q: What is the Canvas Parent App?

    Q: My teacher’s links in Canvas aren’t working, but I can get into class using the SMS staff page link. 

    A: The teacher needs to reset links or the links have changed.  Please contact the teacher and the teacher will send you the correct links.

     

    Q:  How do I login to Zoom on the iPad?

    Q: The link on the staff page no longer works to get into my Zoom classroom

    A:  Zoom links can now be found in your Canvas or Google Classroom. 

     

    Q: I can’t find the Zoom links in my Canvas or Google Classroom.

    A: Email the teacher and the teacher will direct you where to find the links.

     

    Q: I can’t see or hear my teacher on Zoom.

    A: Make sure your microphone, camera, and speakers are turned on.  Chat with the teacher and see if theirs are turned on too.

     

    Q: What is the easiest way for students to split their screen to see Zoom and another app at the same time?

    A: Slowly swipe up from the bottom of the iPad.  Once you see the app you want, tap and hold it, move it to the top right hand corner and let go.  It should automatically split the screen.

     

    Q: I am in the waiting room and the teacher has not accepted the request to get in after a long period of time.

    A:  When the teachers are teaching or in break out rooms, it is difficult for them to see the waiting room.  Teachers will check the waiting room periodically, however try to sign into class on time to avoid having to wait.   You may also email the teacher.

     

     

    Q: How do I log into a Zoom meeting/class with my teacher?

    A: Most teachers have the class’s Zoom link listed in their Canvas class. Students need to open their Canvas for the class and click on the Zoom link. Some teachers may have a note on their staff page as to where to find the Zoom link.     Q: What do I do if my Zoom links do not open properly?

    A: Be sure that you have logged into the Zoom App at least one time.

    Q: What do I do if I have forgotten my passcode for the ipad’s lock screen?

    A: Call Sinagua’s librarian or email hmorgan@fusd1.org or lpajkos@fusd1.org and we will reset the code.



    Q: How do I open StudentVue?

    A: Click on the green StudentVue app.

    The username is the student’s ID# (lunch number)

    The password is whatever your student has reset it to be 

     

    Q: What do I do if I have forgotten my password for StudentVue, Canvas, or Zoom?

    A: Call Sinagua’s librarian or email hmorgan@fusd1.org or lpajkos@fusd1.org and we will reset the code.

     

    Q: What do I do if my iPad is Disabled?

    A: The ipad will need to be reset. You will need to come into SInagua and we will wipe the ipad and start fresh.

     

    Q: What do I do if my iPad is damaged?

    A: The ipad will need to be sent out for repairs. You will need to come into SInagua and we will check out a new ipad to you and send the old one to the shop.

     

    Q: What do I do if I have misplaced my iPad?

    A: Call Sinagua’s librarian or email hmorgan@fusd1.org or lpajkos@fusd1.org and we will “ping” the ipad.

     

    Q:  Do I still need to report my child absent if he/she is not feeling well or has an appointment?

    A:   Yes we are still following the guidelines from before.  Please get doctor notes when possible and email or fax them to mherrera@fusd1.org or 928-527-5561

     

    Q:  What if my child can’t log on due to technical difficulties, do I still need to call them in?  

    A:  Yes, please.  Email the teacher as well as call Attendance just to make sure they are not marked absent.

     

    Q: Is there a boundary exception form online?

    Q: Where do I upload documents for online registration? Do I have to upload when I register? 

    A: In the online registration, there is a button on the bottom of the documentation screen that allows you to upload. You do not have to upload at the time of registration, there is an option to say you will provide documentation at the school. If you choose that option, you can bring the documents to the school or send them via email to the registrar or data entry clerk. lbennett@fusd1.org or jmacnab@fusd1.org
