• MIT-e Academic Policy

Students in the MIT-e program must maintain academic and behavioral excellence by maintaining high scores in all MIT-e courses. Students must maintain a 5.0 or above in both science and engineering to remain in good academic standing for MIT-e. If these scores are not earned at the end of a grading quarter, the student will be placed on probation. During the probation period (the whole next quarter), the student has the chance to improve their scores to 5.0 or higher. If so, they will remain within the program. If not, the students will be placed in an alternative science course and elective to help them find success. Probation can only be earned one quarter per year.
