Spring 2024 Practice Schedules
*Families must pick up their players by 4:30 after practice and games.All athletes must have completed paperwork and register for their sports by the registration due date. Information about registration due dates and season start times can be found below:Please review the Athletics Registration Check List below to make sure you have complete all of the necessary steps for partcipation in MEMS athletics:Your help is essential to running our programs. We are in need of coaches and referees:Coaches are paid a $1,000 stipdend per team. Referee pay ranges between $30 and $40 per game depending on the sport. There is a short application process. All coaches and refs must have a valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.Current postings for Fall sports are under the Athletics and Activities tab on the FUSD Employment Opportunities page. Scroll until you find the desired position.MEMS athletics is a recreational sports program open to all students, regardless of their athletic abilities. It provides an opportunity for you to participate in extracurricular activities with equal playing time for everyone.The program's goals are to help build physical skills, develop a positive spirit of competition and school pride and emphasize cooperation, recreation and fun.
Every student participating on an athletic team is issued a uniform and is responsible for returning it to his/her coach at the end of the season. Players are responsible for damage to or loss of their uniforms
Ahtletics Participation Fees:
There is a $40 fee for participation in sports. This fee covers all three seasons of sports and can be paid in the MEMS front office.
Registering for a Sport:
All athletes must be registered for participation prior to the season registration deadline through Aktivate (formerly Register My Athlete). New students, medical excuses or emergencies will be the only exception to the cut–off dates.

Annual Sports Physicals:
Athletic Physical Forms - PLEASE PRINT, COMPLETE AND RETURN AIA FORMS 157-A (Evaluation form to be completed and signed by a parent or guardian) and 157-B (Examination form to be completed by a medical professional) TO MEMS or UPLOAD COMPLETED FORMS TO REGISTER MY ATHLETE. The physical examination by a medical professional must occur on or after March 1, 2023. Please note that it can take some time to schedule a doctor's appointment for a physical so planning ahead is prudent.

Eligibility Grade Checks:
A student receiving a 1 during a three-week grading interval cannot participate in competition and will remain ineligible until the grade is brought up to a 2 or higher.
