    During middle school, students will be exposed to a wide range of literature and informational texts and tasks. Students will read increasingly complex texts through grades 6 – 8.  Each year in their writing, students will demonstrate increasing sophistication in all aspects of language use, from vocabulary and syntax to the development and organization of ideas as they address increasingly demanding content and sources.  Also, throughout middle school, students will demonstrate increasingly sophisticated speaking and listening skills in all aspects of collaboration and media use.
