PSAT at Coconino High School

Registration has closed for the Fall 2024 PSAT. The test will be held at CHS on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. If you have not yet had the opportunity to pay the $20 for the test, you can drop in to our bookstore or phone Ms. Fockler at (928) 773-8244, pay online through the parent vue portal, or pay with InTouch (https://az-flagstaff.intouchreceipting.com/signin).
The PSAT is great for:
- College scholarships
- Practice for the SAT, which is also important for scholarships and college admissions
Here are some ways that you can study for the PSAT:

The best way to prepare for these tests is to:
- Take challenging courses
- Do your homework

- Visit www.psat.org/practice to view practice materials and full practice tests.
- Check to see if you have an approved calculator to use on the math test (calculators will not be provided on the test day).

Pre-Test Session (to fill out the student questionnaire section of the answer document and save time on test day - ALL STUDENTS MUST ATTEND):
- October 20th in the CHS Mini Auditorium from 8-9am

Test Day:
- Where: Small Gym (North side of the building)
- When: 7:40 (doors to the gym open) 8:00 (administration begins - NO LATE ADMISSIONS)
- Dismissal: Approximately 11:30
- Note: Students should report DIRECTLY to the Small Gym, not the 1st period.
- Attendance: Students will be excused from all their classes on test day
Students should bring:- Calculators (find the approved list of calculators here)
- Students who do not have their own calculator can check one out from their MATH teachers.
- Student ID or another form of ID
- NOTHING ELSE
- No Phones/electronic devices including smart watches (Students will turn in their phones if they bring them)
- We will provide pencils
Preparation- Students looking to prepare for the test between now and test day should look at the College Board's practice tests or KhanAcademy's SAT practice.
What Not to Bring:
If students bring any of these they will be asked to place them in their backpack at the back of the testing room.
- Any devices, including smartwatches, that can be used to record, transmit, receive, or playback audio, photographic, text, or video content
- Protractors, compasses, rulers
- Highlighters, colored pens, colored pencils, mechanical pencils
- Pamphlets or papers of any kind
- Food and drinks—including bottled water
