CTE Month Spotlight - Rilee Symonds
"The Interior Design program taught me more than just how to decorate a room. The program gave me knowledge that I now use every day in my current job [managing a retail store]."

CTE Month Spotlight - Rachel Harpin
"I will forever be grateful for the guidance and opportunities FUSD provided. With determination and hard work, anything is achievable. Last year, the idea of working for a major aerospace company seemed nearly impossible. Now, my dream is more attainable than ever."

Career and Technical Education, or CTE, programs are based on industry standards and community industry input. Students can earn a wide array of industry-recognized certifications while in high school and can even receive college credit through partnerships with colleges and tech schools.
These programs provide scaffolding to build upon skills so that students become lifelong learners ready for careers or further schooling in their field of interest. The skills that students learn prepare them for jobs in high-skill, high-wage careers and also prepares them for college and higher education.
