Students who enroll in this course will explore elements and principles of design as they apply to residential, commercial, and retail spaces. We will be exploring college and career opportunities as well as current trends and influences on the housing and construction industry including cultural and historical influences. All students will have the opportunity to participate as members of the national Career and Technical Student Organization, FCCLA. 

Architectural Interior Design II CT108A/B

Grades: 10-12 College Prep: Yes Credit: 1.0 Duration: 1 year Fee:  $25.00

Students will focus on technical aspects of designing residential, commercial and retail spaces including anthropometrics, building codes and technical drawings. We will be exploring current trends and influences on the housing industry including cultural and historical influences. Much of the class will be independent, student led learning. Students will also have the opportunity to participate as members of the national Career and Technical Student Organization, FCCLA.

Architectural Interior Design III CT109A/B

Grades: 11-12 College Prep: Yes Credit: 1 Duration: 1 year Fee: $25.00

Students will apply technical concepts and knowledge through hands on projects inside and outside of the classroom. The goal of AID III is to make a positive impact on the physical environment of the school through student led design, redesign, and remodeling. Students will work with various clients to help make design decisions and implement their design. Students will also be members of the national organization FCCLA and have the opportunity to compete in-state and national competitions for interior design.
