    23-24 Boys Basketball Game Schedule

    SMS Boys' Basketball Families,
     
    Next week, Feb 26-30, 2024, begins boys' basketball at SMS. Tryouts will consist of assessing the ability of each student and placing them on a team that matches their ability level by the end of the week. Every student who is registered will make a team.
     
    Tryout Schedule:
    Monday, Feb 26: 8th grade tryouts, 2:30-4:00 pm in the gym
    Tuesday, Feb 27: 7th grade tryouts, 2:30-4:00 pm in the gym
    Thursday, Feb 29 30: 6th grade tryouts, 2:30-4:00 pm in the gym
     
    Friday coaches will get together to make teams, which will be communicated via email along with practice schedules for the remainder of the season.
     
    Your child will either be on a Monday/Thursday practice schedule, or a Tuesday/Friday schedule; this practice schedule will begin the week of March 18 (after Spring Break). There will be not basketball activities the week parent-teacher conferences (Mar 4-8). Games will begin the week of April 1. Game schedule will be out as soon as we know how many other teams from other schools have confirmed participation this season.
     
    Note: On Fridays, the district does not offer a late/activity bus (goes to outlying areas: Doney Park, Cameron, Kachina, Belmont). If your student requires the activity bus to get home then please email or call me.
