• What is Aquaponics?

Aquaponics is the conjoining of aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (soil-less growing of plants) into one system. Through this system, fish waste is converted into nitrate (a key nutrient for plants) by microbes in the fish tank. Thus, the fish waste is automatically eliminated from the tank and supplied as critical nutrients for the plants.
